In Jeremiah 20 Jeremiah gets put in stocks. When the guy who put him in the stocks lets him out Jeremiah comes out with a not very nice prophesy against him. It's a wonder Jeremiah didn't end up back in the stocks. Some people may have thought to keep things on the quiet side after being put in stocks. Play nice for a while. But not Jeremiah!
